Selling your own product can potentially make you the most money, but it is the most time-consuming and most difficult way to make money on the internet. There is a great deal of research, planning, advertising and promoting that is involved with selling your own product. However, if you are motivated and determined the reward is worth the work.

Affiliate programs are great ways to make money online, but it is a method that should be combined with other things. While you can make a decent amount through selling other people’s stuff, it is difficult to make a decent income solely through affiliate programs.
6. Article writing
There are a couple of ways you can make money at home with article writing. The first way is to use article writing as an advertising method. By placing your website link in the resource box, you can direct people who read your article to your website. The other option is to set up an article writing business and write articles for other people’s websites. It doesn’t take much to get a business going, but the difficult part is getting the word out about your business.
There are literally hundreds of ways to make money at home, but these are some of the more common methods used today. Keep in mind that there is nothing wrong with combining a few of these methods to help make money at home quicker.

The power of positive thinking that is so often preached about in self-help books and movies these days is seen by many people as being “hocus-pocus”, or brain-washing at its best, especially if you are one of the many who is frustrated with making money at home online.
It is probably those who think about it in such a negative way who don’t really know about “The Secret”. I have yet to see the movie myself, and have just started reading the book, but can already tell you that my thoughts and feelings became more positive after only 20 pages. It is going to be a proud addition to my spiritual book collection, and manifested in my business life to help me make more money at home online.
I am an online business owner who, like everyone in this business, wants to make money at home online. But I am one of the “survivors” as I so call it. When you consider that 95-98% of all those who start an online business quit within their first year, I am proud to still be alive and kicking. But this did not happen by mistake or miracle, and your success or failure in business and life is no accident either, as you will see when you read on…
If you haven’t learned “The Secret”, then now is the time if you want a successful online business. What is “The Secret” you ask, and how will it help you make money at home online?
“The Secret” is simply “the law of attraction” – That “like” attracts “like”. If you have negative thoughts about your business and think you’ll never make any money at it, then you are attracting more and more negative thoughts just like that one, which over time will become your reality.
For example, if you find out that 95% of all online business owners quit within their first year, and have negative doubts about your success, then that is what the universe will mirror back at you: More doubt, more fears, more failure. If you let these thoughts of doubt, fear, and failure dominate your thinking, then eventually this is the fate you will create for yourself.
Those who really want to make money at home online are positive thinkers who know already that they are part of the small 5% who will succeed at this business. “The Secret” tells us that it doesn’t matter how – What matters is that you already believe and feel it within yourself that you already have what you want. You already have money, success, love, and riches. You feel it, and you feel good about it.
The master of “The Secret” knows that even when you don’t actually have what you desire right this minute – money at home online – that you have an intense faith that it will come. Any time fear and doubt creeps into your thoughts, you must change them, otherwise the universe will get mixed signals about what you want, and you will get mixed results.
Many online business owners may be very skeptical of this principle, but it is exactly that skepticism that breeds exactly what they don’t want. They won’t make money at home online because they are skeptical that they will. It is an undying truth that you get what you ask for, and that you create your reality with your thoughts.
The beauty of it all is that we are masters of our thoughts, so if we want negativity, fear, and doubt, we will get just that. If we want to change that, we can! If you really want to make money at home online, then there are steps you can take to help change your thoughts and create the reality you want.
Step one according to “The Secret” is to ask, or in other words, define what you want. Be very specific, picture it, and do not mention what you don’t want. For example, “I have $1000 per month in profits from my online business”. When you stay focused on that end result, it doesn’t matter how it happens, when, or where – what you focus on will become your reality.
Notice that I said, “I have $1000 per month in profits…”, rather than “I want $1000 per month in profits”. If you want it, the universe will give that right back to you – the wanting of it, and you will get more wanting of it! Be careful what you ask for because you might just get it!
That brings me to the next step according to “The Secret”, which is to believe that you already have it and will get it. If your thoughts go astray, be careful, because you might just get what you have led your thoughts astray to thinking, feeling, and believing! It may take time to train yourself to keep your thoughts and feelings in check so that you can stay focused and positive about what you want.
The final step according to “The Secret” is to receive, or truly feel good about and love what you want, or feel the same way that you would if you actually had it. You won’t make money at home online if you think you can’t, for that’s like asking for a positive, but feeling negative – a conflict of opposites in the universe.

What makes one person in a MLM Business opportunity successful and another a failure? Why do some people work and make money from home while others struggle?
There’s no simple answer to these questions. However, there are keys to being successful in a MLM business opportunity. It begins with choosing the right company for the right reasons. It has to do with the person’s attitude, mindset, and desire. It’s as much about the individual as it is the company the products and services it provides.
Two of the keys I’m sharing are all about you. They are the ones that will make the difference of whether you succeed or not. The other keys are very important, but nothing will happen without you.
Here are the “Five Keys to Make Money at Home with a MLM business Opportunity:”
Key #1: You have to recognize the opportunity when you see it
You may think opportunity it is all about money. That is wrong. Opportunity is about the company and its products and/or services and the growth potential in the market place. What is the quality of the products or services offered? Does the company stand behind them? How are they different from the competition? Are they affordable? Do they fill a need no one else is supplying? Are these products or services you can believe in?
It’s about timing. It is best to find an MLM business opportunity that offers emerging products and services. Is the company really on the cutting edge of research and technology or are they talking a good line? Where do you see the company and industry headed in the next five to ten years? Where do you see the need in the market place in the coming years, is it going up or down?
Key #2: Have the desire to make your business profitable
I know this sounds silly, but its true. To succeed and make money at home you have to have a desire to make money – more money than you spend. In other words, make a profit.
You have to see yourself working the business and succeeding. You must visualize the end results and see yourself successful. See it! Feel it! Sense every bit of it. Your subliminal mind will take over and direct your actions for success.
Without desire you will go nowhere. You must have a burning desire to achieve what you want. Does the business opportunity have the ability to do that for you? What are your dreams and goals? Does the company help you achieve them?
You have to believe in the company, its leaders and products and services. You have to believe in yourself and your ability to make money at home with this company.

Your desire, belief and purpose have to be so high that fear goes out the window. You are on a mission and you will complete it no matter what the obstacles.

Corporations know and understand leveraging is the key to success. Show me a large company anywhere in the world and I will show you leveraging. Companies hire employees to do the work that wouldn’t be possible if only one person did it. By leveraging companies are able to produce products and services for the masses.
A MLM business opportunity allows you to leverage and do the same thing. As an independent representative you are a distributor of their products and services. Your job is to do two things: gather customers and find people who want to build a business just like you, business partners.
As you find and train business partners you leverage your time and energy. A synergy begins to grow where the sum of the efforts actually out performs the number of people in your organization. That is how you build solid long-term wealth with a MLM business.
Key #4: Have a strong desire to create residual income
We all understand the concept of residual income. You do something once and you get paid for it over and over again. Residual income is the key to everyone’s success. Once you have learned the secrets to leverage other people’s time and energy residual income will come your way.
You can earn residual income with either a products oriented or service oriented company.
However, I have found a services oriented MLM business opportunity is more likely to have lasting residual income. Here’s why:
When you sell products they tend to operate on a month- to-month basis with the only connection to long term being auto shipment.
On the other hand, when you sell services there is generally an annual contract. The services are billed month-to-month but the commitment is much longer. Service oriented customers tend to stay with the company a lot longer thus giving you a longer lasting residual income opportunity and a great way to make money at home.
Key #5: You must take action to get the ball rolling
Everything we do takes action. Even the simplest of things like mowing the lawn, driving to the store, or going to work every day. It all takes action.
Building a MLM Business opportunity requires action, too. In fact, it takes a lot of action to get it rolling. You will have to work hard in the beginning. You might not see much activity for weeks or maybe months. It can be challenging.
Your desire, belief and purpose are going to carry you and get you past the challenges. You will take action because you mentally see the results. You believe you will succeed.
To make money at home and achieve your goals you must take action every single day. You must do the things that will grow your business and build the long-term residual income you desire.
